Is the greatest coming together of past and present Bollywood in the making?
Is the greatest coming together of past and present Bollywood in the making? Will Don past and Don present take to the screen together in the biggest face-off of two reigning superstars since Sholay (the original)?
Bollywood is abuzz that Shah Rukh Khan will play Don and Amitabh Bachchan will play his nemesis-turned-mentor in a cameo either in Don — The Chase Begins Again or possibly in a third film called Don vs Don.
"No," he says to the possibility of that coming together, and refuses to comment on whether that is because talks failed or whether the idea is too tough to broach because of the much-rumoured and much-denied stand-off between him Big B.
Director Farhan Akhtar, however, plays as much party to the rumour as the rest of us. "Yes, I've been hearing about this rumour myself, but it is not true," Farhan says. Bachchan was not available for comment.
